NACSA, Inc. Mission Statement
The Native American Church of Southern Arizona (NACSA), Inc. is a bona fide Native American religion that promulgates traditional Native American religion practices and upholds morality, sobriety, industry, charity and right living.
NACSA, Inc. is anchored on many long-standing core values. Through this value-centered approach, we cultivate a spirit of self-respect, brotherly love and union among members of the several Native tribes throughout North America.
History of the Native American Church of Southern Arizona, Inc.:
During the mid-1980’s, at a time before the Arizona-based church was founded, those affiliated with what became known as the Native American Church of Southern Arizona (NACSA), Inc. were associated with the Native American Church of North America, a national organization. They paid membership dues, carried membership cards, attended annual and semi-annual conferences, and made monetary donations.
This continued throughout most of 2003, until the Arizona-based contingent launched a local chapter. Articles of Incorporation and church bylaws were filed on December 22, 2003, with the Arizona Corporation Commission. This signaled the official establishment of the NACSA, Inc. On April 20, 2016, NACSA was approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3), a non-profit charitable organization with tax exempt status.
